The Maryland Government
Finance Officers Association (MD GFOA) was started to
promote the improvement of methods of governmental finance
in Maryland, including mutually understandable procedures of
accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting, and the use
of common terminology, classification, and principles. MD
GFOA provides an opportunity for mutual discussion and
analysis of financial problems, the development of qualified
public employees and achievement of closer relationships
among those concerned with public finance to improve the
public service.As a sponsor or exhibitor,
